As some of you know, Wendye and I are prepping for Arbonne’s 30-Day Feeling Fit Challenge on January 1, which, to say the least, we’re pretty excited about. For those of you who don’t know about the 30-Day Feeling Fit Challenge, it’s a month-long program that Arbonne created in conjunction with their Feeling Fit Kit, which includes two Arbonne Essentials Protein Shake mixes, two Energy Fizz Tab packs, two Fit Chews packs, Arbonne’s Herbal Detox teas, and Daily Fiber Boost.
The Fit Kit was formulated by Dr. Peter Matravers, who in addition to being a doctor is also the Senior Vice President of Product Development for Arbonne. He saw that many people today just weren’t get the right combination of nutrients as a result of busy lifestyles and processed foods. This kit really takes the guesswork out of getting fit with the right combination of essential nutrients.
I think the reason why this kit appeals to us (Arbonne consultants aside) is that everyone has their own view of what being “fit” and “healthy” means. Is it losing weight? Having more energy? Maybe you’re okay with your weight — you’d just like to eat a little better. Whatever your idea is, this kit can help.
The kit works like this — for breakfast, lunch, and some snacks, you eat and drink a combination of Arbonne Protein Shakes (with a Daily Fiber Boost in one of the shakes), Fit Chews, Fizz Tabs, and Herbal Detox Tea. Dinners and one snack a day is something that will need to be made by you — and Arbonne gives you many suggestions in the Feeling Fit Guide they enclose with the Kit.
Now, we’re human, and if you’ve taken on a challenge like this before — especially right after the holidays like we are — it’s, well, challenging. Sometimes we’re not used to eating healthy, and we find that old habits die hard. Or sometimes you’re at a get-together at someone’s house, and they have a food there that you just can’t pass up. Or there aren’t any “healthy options” to be found where you are and you didn’t know to plan ahead. Well, we’re here to tell you that even if you do make a misstep or two a week, you’re still going to be okay. I mean, we would NEVER tell you to cheat, but if you know you’re going to be at a party or if you’re going out for a decadent dinner, just plan on it, keep hydrated, maybe eat a salad or soup to “crowd out” some of the more yummy things you’d tend to binge on, and incorporate that into your lifestyle. Take it from us — if you cut things out cold turkey, sometimes you do set yourself up for failure. And we don’t want that. 🙂
What should you do if you’re interested in the 30-Day Challenge? First of all, set a start date. If you need to obtain a Fit Kit, head over to our Arbonne site by clicking HERE. If you’d like to research a little bit about how the challenge works, this link has a link to the Feeling Fit Guide that’s included with every Arbonne kit. And, maybe enjoy an extra helping of that food that you need to cut down on (only half kidding).
You’ll be hearing about our first few days of our own challenge next week, so stay tuned! And if you have any insights of your own, we’d love to hear them in the blog comments!
